History

House on the Rock was established in December 1994 by Pastor PAUL A. ADEFARASIN in Lagos, Nigeria, with the objective of creating a cutting-edge Church for the 21st century that empowers believers to fulfil their God-given purposes. From its humble beginnings, the Church has experienced tremendous growth, extending its reach far beyond Lagos and establishing over 40 daughter Churches and missions both in Nigeria and across the globe.

House on the Rock “THE GATEWAY” is a remarkable daughter church of House on the Rock, Located in Johannesburg South Africa, our branch embraces diversity and welcomes people of all backgrounds since 2007. Under the leadership of Pastor IDARA MCSAMUEL, our church family passionately embraces God’s Word and worships with joy. We foster genuine connections and provide a nurturing environment for spiritual growth and support.

As a sanctuary for all, we strive to make a positive impact in Johannesburg. Through ministries and outreach, we demonstrate God’s love in practical ways. OUR BELIEFS

  • We believe that the bible is the inspired (God breathed) infallible (all true) and inerrant (without error or contradiction) Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in faith and practice.
  • We believe in the trinity; one God who exists in three distinct persons; Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and Savior of the world.
  • We believe Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and on the third day He rose triumphant over death.
  • We believe that there is no other name given that man should be saved by but the name of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again.

Our mission is to position the Local Church to be a global influence, by empowering them through worship, teaching, and outreach. We equip believers to make a positive impact in their communities and navigate the challenges of the 21st century. We foster a sense of community and strive for excellence, delivering inspiring messages and providing transformative growth opportunities

Our vision is to build a holistic, healthy church that initiates a transformative turnaround for individuals physically, spiritually, and financially. We provide resources and support for physical health, transformative teachings for spiritual growth, and empower believers to achieve financial stability. Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to leave a lasting legacy of wholeness and well-being.
